Before calling anyone, there are three safe checks you can make yourself:
Anything beyond this needs a technician. Opening a pump, replacing an impeller or rewinding a motor requires the pump to be isolated and drained properly, and a wrong reassembly usually destroys the seal. If the pump is dry-running, tripping repeatedly or leaking onto electrical parts, switch it off at the breaker and call us.
Water pump repairing is charged hourly at AED 120 per hour, and bookings start from AED 120. You get a written price after the inspection and before any work starts, so there are no surprises at the end.
What changes the final cost:
The price of the pump unit itself varies widely by type and brand, so we quote the unit separately once we know what your system needs. A repair is almost always cheaper than a replacement if the motor windings are still healthy.
A good domestic booster pump lasts around eight to twelve years in Dubai conditions. It rarely reaches that if the basics are ignored. The three things that shorten pump life here are scale build-up from hard water, dry running when a tank empties, and short cycling caused by a failed pressure tank. A pump that short cycles can be worn out in under two years even though the motor was fine when installed.
An annual service, which includes checking the pressure tank charge and cleaning the impeller, is the cheapest way to protect the pump.
Most pumps can be repaired. Repair usually makes sense when the motor windings test healthy and the fault is a seal, bearing, capacitor, impeller or pressure switch. These are wear parts and replacing them restores the pump to normal performance.
Replacement is the better choice when the motor is burnt out, when the pump body is corroded or cracked, when the pump is already past ten years and failing repeatedly, or when the pump was undersized for the building in the first place. We tell you which category yours falls into after the inspection, with the cost of both options.

Parts are quoted separately and only after you approve them. The technician tells you the part cost on site, before fitting anything. There is no advance payment and no call-out charge on top of the rates above.

If a part has to be ordered, we secure the system so you still have water where possible, and return to finish once the part arrives. You are only billed for time actually worked.
Knowing which pump you have makes the first conversation much faster, and it changes what a fault is likely to be.

If you do not know which one you have, a photo of the pump and its label is usually enough for us to identify it before the visit.
Three things shorten pump life here more than anywhere else, and all three are avoidable.
The first is running dry. A tank that empties while the pump keeps running destroys the mechanical seal within minutes, and the motor follows soon after. A working float switch or dry-run protection is the cheapest insurance you can fit.
The second is scale. Hard water leaves deposits on the impeller, which gradually reduces flow. Owners often respond by turning the pressure up, which loads the motor further and accelerates the failure.
The third is heat. Pump rooms in Dubai get extremely hot in summer, and a motor with no ventilation runs at the edge of its rating all day. Simply keeping the pump room vented and clear of stored boxes makes a measurable difference.
A short annual check catches all three before they turn into an emergency, and it costs far less than an unplanned replacement in August.
